RA 11982: EXPANDING THE COVERAGE OF THE CENTENARIANS ACT

This law is Sen. Bong Revilla Jr.’s campaign promise turned into reality. The senior citizen sector is very close to his heart and so he made it his mission to ensure that no matter the obstacles, this vision will come to fruition.

 The law honors the Filipino trait of compassion for elderly. It expands the coverage of the Centenarians Act of 2016 to the octogenarians and nonagenarians by providing PhP 10,000 cash incentives for seniors aged 80, 85, 90 and 95 years old. To facilitate a smooth and swift implementation, it mandates the extensive registration of all senior citizens in the country through an Elderly Data Management System.
